The Battery Pack Rotation Test Machine is designed to simulate real-world conditions in which a battery pack or system is installed in an electric vehicle. During vehicle operation, scenarios such as steep uphill, downhill, side tilt, or rollover may occur. This Battery Pack Rotation Test Machine reproduces these extreme conditions in the laboratory to observe possible reactions of the battery pack or system.
The Battery Pack Rotation Test Machine helps identify and resolve potential issues, optimize product design, and improve product quality. It is a specialized safety testing instrument for power battery packs and systems, and is an ideal choice for lithium battery manufacturers, electric vehicle manufacturers, and research/testing institutions.
Test Requirements & Procedures
Test Procedures:
- Rotate the battery pack or system around the X-axis at a speed of 90° per 15 seconds for 360°. Then rotate in 90° increments, pausing for 1 hour at each increment. Stop after completing 360°. Observe for 2 hours.
- Rotate the battery pack or system around the Y-axis at a speed of 90° per 15 seconds for 360°. Then rotate in 90° increments, pausing for 1 hour at each increment. Stop after completing 360°. Observe for 2 hours.
Test Criteria:
During the rotation test, the battery pack or system must show no leakage, casing rupture, fire, or explosion.
The electrical connections must remain secure, and the structural integrity must remain intact.
After the test, the insulation resistance must meet the following requirements:
- AC resistance ≥ 500 Ω/V
- DC resistance ≥ 100 Ω/V
Installation Requirements
- Floor load capacity ≥ 1500 kg/m².
- Laboratory space ≥ W6500 × D5000 × H4500 mm.
- Lighting illumination ≥ 200 lumens.
- For cantilever crane installation, excavate a pit of W1500 × D1500 × H1500 mm, with embedded anchor cage and concrete reinforcement.
