Battery cells inside battery packs are normally sealed under standard atmospheric pressure. Under normal conditions, the internal and external pressures remain balanced. However, when a battery pack is used in high-altitude areas, the atmospheric pressure decreases as altitude increases, resulting in a larger pressure difference between the inside and outside of the battery. Under such conditions, safety risks such as electrolyte leakage may occur.
The High-Altitude Simulation Test Chamber is designed to simulate the low atmospheric pressure environment at high altitudes to evaluate the safety performance of battery packs under such conditions. It is a specialized testing instrument for power battery packs and systems, making it an ideal choice for lithium battery manufacturers, electric vehicle manufacturers, and scientific research & testing institutions.
