The Heavy Impact Test System for Batteries is designed to assess the mechanical safety performance of batteries when subjected to impacts from a heavy weight dropped from a specified height. This Heavy Impact Test System for Batteries verifies whether the battery meets safety performance requirements under impact conditions.
System Components & Structure
- Control System
PLC control with touchscreen interface for intuitive operation and precise test execution. - Impact Mechanism
A geared reducer motor drives a displacement sensor and sprocket. Rotation of the sprocket moves the impact hammer assembly via chains. The impact height is controlled, and the hammer is released electromagnetically to perform the impact test on the battery. - Safety Support Pin
Safety retaining pin holes are provided on both guide rods of the impact hammer. After raising the hammer, the pin can be inserted to prevent accidental drop during battery installation. Once the battery is secured, remove the pin to start the test. - Auxiliary Safety Features
The system includes an explosion-proof observation window, interior lighting, exhaust ventilation, pressure relief and explosion protection, safety door interlocks, emergency stop protection, and mobility with leveling and fixation functions.
Applications
- Mechanical safety and abuse impact testing for lithium-ion cells and packs
- R&D and quality assurance for battery manufacturers
- Verification testing for compliance with international safety standards
