Sodium battery electrolytes play a crucial role in facilitating ion transport between the cathode and anode, determining battery performance, safety, and cycle life. The liquid electrolytes consist of organic solvents: carbonates (PC, EC, DMC, DEC), or ethers (DME, DEGDME), and Salts: NaPF6, NaClO4, NaTFSI, NaFSI. It has the advantages of high ionic conductivity (~1–10 mS/cm) and good electrode wettability. The flammability, sensitivity to moisture, and potential side reactions remain challenges.
